Wedding Planning

Planning a wedding can be challenging and stressful which is why it is not surprising if an engaged couple has at least one quarrel while planning their wedding. Aside from quarrels between the engaged couple, there might also be quarrels between one of them and a meddling friend or family member. Although these occurrences are not unusual, they should dealt with properly to avoid any escalation to a more serious fight. Below are some tips to help you deal with quarrels while planning for your wedding.

• Choose your battles. Two people will be getting married and it is almost impossible for the two of you to both like the same thing in every little detail related to your wedding. Expect that there will be at least one instance wherein you and your fiancé will like different things such as choosing whether to book 55 Events Place or Blue Leaf Events Pavilion so expect to compromise along the way. The best way to do this is to identify any wedding detail that is non-negotiable for you so that it will be easier to let go of other details that you and your fiancé might not agree on. There is no need to quarrel or fight over every single disagreement. Instead, choose your battles by specifying which ones you absolutely want for your wedding.

• Give options. Whether your fiancé is the type who absolutely knows what he or she wants or the type who will barely get into wedding planning, it is best to give options to make it easy to agree on things. For the uninvolved fiancé, providing options will help in making decision making easier because the choices have already been limited or narrowed down. For the controlling fiancé, providing options will give your fiancé the illusion of having control over the decision making even if the selections have already been pre-chosen by you.

• Give updates. This is particularly important in pacifying parents, friends, or close family members who may want to meddle in your wedding planning. To prevent anyone who wants to be more involved from feeling left out, share bits of information on how the wedding planning is going. However, do not share everything because it might encourage them to meddle some more. Identifying wedding details that you would be willing to let them decide on will help a lot. Just make sure that you let them decide by giving a set of options that you have already pre-chosen. Nevertheless, it is still important to talk to them to let them know gently that it is your wedding and that even though you welcome any help they can offer, all final decisions will be up to you and your fiancé.

Weekend Wedding

As more and more families are becoming separated, with members often living in different parts of the country, weekend weddings are becoming increasingly popular. In this case families usually assemble on Friday evening, the wedding takes place on the Saturday and then the guests depart for home on Sunday after breakfast.

Although the centerpiece of the weekend will clearly be the marriage ceremony itself and the following reception, the weekend can seem somewhat long for the guests unless you organize some sort of activity for them. So, how do you go about this?

Well, the first thing you need to think about is the location for the weekend. For example, if it is to be held at a hotel near to a lake then what about setting up a number of activities around the lake for Saturday morning, perhaps with a barbecue lunch, and then schedule the wedding ceremony for late afternoon to be followed by an evening reception dinner? Depending on the number and ages of the people who will be attending you could hold swimming races, boating races or possibly a fishing competition.

One very popular activity at weekend wedding is a scavenger hunt. There are many different ways in which a scavenger hunt can be planned but essentially the idea is to divide your guests into two teams and then set the teams a series of tasks. For example, one task might be that the team must collect a brochure from a specific store in the local town. Another task could be for the team to take a photograph of all of the team members at a particular spot or tourist attraction in the locality. The tasks will clearly vary according to the local area and the age and fitness of the guests, but it should be designed to keep them occupied for a reasonable amount of time without tiring them out too much.

Wedding Car

When you decide to tie the knot with your partner, amongst the dress, venue and guests, your wedding car is one of the most important parts of your day. This is because it is one of the first things that your guests will see, therefore it is important that the car you choose reflects you both.

When it comes to your big day, most couples like to make an entrance! So you have a choice of choosing between an elegant vintage vehicle or a luxury sports car. If your wedding is planned for the new year and you haven't picked your car yet, then you need to start choosing which car will ensure that you have the most perfect and special wedding day. But which cars will still be 'in' for the upcoming year?

The trend for classic and vintage cars shows no signs of stopping in the New Year, and therefore they will continue to make an ideal wedding car. And with this in mind, companies are increasingly investing in these types of vehicles. The Daimler Limousine and Rolls Royce Silver Shadow are two great classic cars. The Daimler Limousine is famous a state car which was adored by the Queen Mother before she passed away. It has also featured in films such as James Bond 'Tomorrow Never Dies' meaning that it is a must have car especially for the most important day of your lives.

The most popular classic wedding car is the iconic Rolls Royces. Famous for its luxurious and glamorous nature it is a car that the British people are very proud of. It would not have been such a great vehicle without the collective genius minds of Sir Frederick Henry Royce and Charles Stewart Rolls.

The reason why classic wedding cars are so popular is because they are seen as traditional and romantic adding glamour to your wedding proceedings. Moreover they are sure to make you feel like royalty, making them an excellent choice of wedding car.

Wedding Photography

A camera can stall the entire world. It captures the world as we see it and also the world beyond it. I feel photography as a painting with colors and light. Weddings are the most beautiful happenings on earth and wedding photography is the photography to showcase the activities during weddings (Pre and Post wedding).

Weddings are a grand affair and the only sweet memories that remain with us for the rest of our lives. The wedding pictures should come out as amazing as the wedding happens. Wedding photography has different shades, as weddings are always colorful and filled with emotions. Weddings are not about emotions and sentiments, a lot of fun and frolic play an important role in brushing the canvas.

According to history, the concept of wedding photography came into existence after the Second World War. Earlier, photography was a bulky task where they generally used films, negatives and later came the analog cameras and now we see professional photographers using digital SLR's.

Analog cameras provided only low quality photographs but with SLR's we have high quality pictures and can also manipulate ambient light which is always a challenge for a photographer.

We have different approaches to wedding photography, but mostly we see Traditional, Photojournalistic and Contemporary wedding photography.
